² In one of the cities the Lord your God is giving you, there may be a man or woman among you who is doing what the Lord considers evil. This person may be disregarding the conditions of the Lord’s promise ^{[a] 3} by worshiping and bowing down to other gods, the sun, the moon, or the whole army of heaven.
